Two Playing Styles, One Amazing Experience
Prague will witness a clash between completely different yet equally spectacular approaches to the game: The first is represented by the Argentine duo "Los Mágicos," consisting of Gonzalo Gabriel Alfonso and Leonel Daniel "Tolito" Aguirre, famous for his technical skills and motto "el que tiene magia no necesita trucos" ("those who have magic don't need tricks"). The audience can look forward to an unforgettable virtuoso performance.
Facing the Alfonso-Aguirre pair will be Portuguese brothers Miguel and Nuno Deus, known as "Deus and Deus," who represent a completely different style. Their game is built on determination and physical strength, creating a contrast with Argentine elegance. The exhibition match, under the auspices of the Czech Padel Federation, will be a clash of perfectionism against pure tenacity.

Sport with Enormous Potential
The padel community is rapidly expanding. The number of players grew from 12 million in 2004 to more than 30 million last year, with up to 50 million expected by 2030. Padel also has an exceptional social dimension, which, along with its potential for further growth, aligns with Accolade Funds' vision.

Padel Conquers the World and Czech Republic
Padel's popularity isn't just a passing trend. Its fans include celebrities like Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, David Beckham, Novak Djoković, and Rafael Nadal. Supporters also include actors Emma Watson and Antonio Banderas. Former football striker Zlatan Ibrahimović even opened his own network of padel centers in his native Sweden.
The sport is also on the rise in Czech Republic. The first padel club was established at Písečná in Prague, and currently about 80 courts are operating across the entire republic, compared to just nine in 2020. Czech padel enthusiasts include basketball player Tomáš Satoranský, tennis player Karolína Plíšková, and former footballers Bořek Dočkal, Patrik Berger, and Jan Koller.
